Any herbivore dung once completely dried makes a decent fuel source for heat. omnivore and carnivore poo not so good while it will burn just fine it produces a foul stench. Feline, Canine, Swine, and Human plus all Avian is the worst of all for odors

What do they do with the briquettes?

More than likely they are used in wood stoves and furnaces for heat. Maybe in the barn or ourbuildings.
