Easy DIY adjustable 3 rolls outfeed stand | FREE PLANS

    Hello,

About 2 weeks ago I bought a planing bench, which you can also see the review video on my channel.
Because my workshop is too small to place an outfeed table behind the planer, I made these outfeed rollers.
They are sturdy and can be adjusted to any height up to a maximum height of 140cm.

I have free plans available on my website (https://christofix.com/easy-diy-adju...andfree-plans/), so those who want to make this outfeed roller can download these plans.

Hopefully, I can inspire you with this video.

    Greetings.
    C

Excellent outfeed supports. The height adjustment has infinite settings within it's range; biggest plus of all. Few commercial stands have that facet solved properly. I'm not a woodworker, so mine are heavier. I fix their shortcoming with double-loop chain [coarse setting], hooked on machine eyebolt & wing nut [final setting]. Just pick a bolt with thread length longer than chain pitch, open the eye, hook chain, close the eye.
Use a regular hook is on the other end.
Sorry, no pics. I'm still 1704 miles from the shop...
    Sincerely,

the store bought pair I have are pure ****. I wish you lived next door...... I was thinking about a rack&pinion for Adjustment or possiably a cable pully to lift&adjust the hight. mine have the slide with pinch bolt...what a pain in the ass to go up just a tad or down a tad. a crank handle for that would be so sweet to have. keep up the great work!!! I need to make one for my band saw at some point....Ive been using jack stands for it.

attn Marksbug & HMT.net in general, we ARE virtually next door; quarantine, lockdown, social distancing or not. PM any time for assistance.

An you'll find that a wing nut or long nut [aka coupling nut], eyebolt and light chain make an effective + low cost adjustment mechanism.

Very nice design. I have to use in-feed and out-feed rollers for my longer boards for cutting plus using vertical and horizontal finger boards. I wish I had someone to help with the push-pull operations.
