Huuummmm. The man has to use 2 hands to remove the apparatus from the plate to keep it from busting the yoke. How is this easier to use for a disabled person? I am disabled. I can crack an egg with one hand and pour it into a coffee cup to rest before I want to pour that egg into the skillet.

Needs two hands to load it too, then there is the tool to wash and dry. Can’t see the point of this tool at all. If you have two arms that work, cracking eggs isn’t usually a problem.

I have to disagree, Moby Duck. Speaking as someone with advanced arthritis, grip strength and fine control can be a problem. I might well find myself needing that device in a few years.

Archetypex sorry to hear about your arthritis. No such thing as a good day when everything hurts. Mostly some days not as bad as other days yes? Moby duck and I were saying that this particular machine seems to ADD more problems for us disabled folks than it does to improve things. Other machines on this site involved with cracking eggs seem to make things easier.

This machine handles the actual cracking part well, but once the egg is cracked you make a mess of the egg yolk if you try to release the cracking button while the yolk is still between the 2 halves, the machine will slam shut on the yolk. It requires a second hand to lift the whole device while keeping pressure on the cracking button. Moby duck mentioned the device really needs you to use 2 hands just to put the egg inside prior to cracking.
