    The motor belt is too loose. Try to fabricate a bracket composed of a coupling nut and two bolts, attach it to the motor bracket and frame. turn the nut to adjust the tension of the belt.

    I agree tighten the belt. Plus I would shorten the drum by 1 segment. It'll decrease the overhung load and let the material run a little deeper over the paddles. Less splash from paddle to paddle will make a smoother running load.

    Solid paddles would be preferred. The grid paddles aerate the mix entraining air that you have to float out later because it greatly reduces density and strength.
