Sorry but I do not believe that small dozer blade is holding that excavator to the hill. A couple cables secured to the excavator & over top of the hill, anchored to a crawler.....MAYBE?

Yup they use a winch. I still wouldn't get in the thing. It makes a good case for a remotely operated excavator.
