that is how they are able to consume larger prey if they can force it down their throat they can eat it
. The lower jaw on many species can be unhinged and even separated in the middle

I'm more worried about the volume of venom injected - the injection volume itself would introduce a certain shock value to the body, let alone the toxicity of the venom.

I don't know this exact situation, but most snake keepers I am friends with have a separate tank/box which is designated for feeding, and another which is the normal habitat. The habitat is never used for feeding since the snake will attack the owner when cleaning or doing other work, whereas in the feeding area the owner expects the snake to be aggressive, so has additional controls in place.
It is possible that what we're seeing in the video is the feeding boxes for the snakes, and their habitat is elsewhere (and considerably larger/nicer) - the snakes may even be in a common habitat, but by putting them in individual feeding boxes, the owner/ researchers can guarantee each snake is being fed properly/ same - which then is another control for weight loss/gain, anti-cannibalism, etc.
This a best guess since the keepers I am friends with don't have as many snakes, and feed them over a period, not all at once.
