F-100 Super Sabre zero-length launch test- GIF

F-100 Super Sabre zero-length launch test. Developed in the 1950s, the zero-launch system used mobile launch platforms to conceal and launch aircraft, reducing the reliance on airfields for their operation.

I suspect it's because the plane is parked on the platform during deployment and before being raised to launch position.
