I had to make a portable magazine quickly to satisfy the renewal of my explosives permit. So of COURSE the MIG welder developed a case of the hiccups. Not only did I grind those welds, I added Bondo(tm), sanded, and painted before the ATF inspector saw it.

I recently sold that welder to some poor, unsuspecting... err... very happy guy for a small amount of money (I told him about the problem). I'm getting a Hitbox (Unitweld) MIG-200 at the new house*, I'm limited on amps there and I never weld anything thick so that should be fine.

    * when I asked for a 50 amp outlet the electrician laughed. I had to get help from the mayor just to get as much power as I have, we got caught with new building codes so our sauna and clothes drier had to be switched to electric along with my shop already being a power hog. No sauna while welding!

In the above I'm fitting walls that the original architect was supposed to have attachment points for. Couldn't get good help during the virus panic.

But that's ok, the installer seems to have had a rubber tape measure too. Fixing things as we go.
