Not going over very well with authorities in China. They have the standards, they have the technical ability. But just like here, envelops slipped to the right people allow too much to get done via poor construction quality. China is tightening up on these kinds of things. Even the brief time I have worked in and for Chinese companies since 2012, I have seen drastic changes in enforcement of pollution laws, and construction standards. They will learn just as we learned.

It is a wood structure built 600 years ago, has been renovated more than once I would have figured the termites would have eaten it hundreds of years ago.

What collapsed were roof tiles slipping off the few months old roof job. Whoever did the upper roofing had no clue hoe to fasten roof tiles to a roof. Which amazes me, because roofing tiles are not exactly a rare thing in China. They are not super common, but not totally unused even up to now.

Someone will be paying dearly for this debacle.
