Brings back memories of doing this with a friend of mine. The only difference was that we had a flow diverter to not have a high pressure flow coming out of the hydrant. Basically a great big cone shaped aerator. As you turn these on the ground can shake. You can also cause a lot of trouble in peoples houses if you turn them on to quickly with water hammering on steriods.
