Commercial fishermen are some of the most superstitious lots you will ever meet. Most I've met, up in the Northwest wouldn't consider putting on a life vest until the seas were running higher than the width of the beam of their boat. said to wear a vest was a sure-fire way to jinx the boat. When I had my bass boat everyone wore a vest in my boat if the big motor was running. running the trolling motor maybe not. I have 2 very fond memories of that boat. The day I bought it and the day I found some sucker who thought he wanted it more than me,

Is that method called Purse Seine Netting, where the small boat is used to hang onto the net while the bigger boat circles the fish, then the bigger boat picks up the other end from the smaller boat and closes the bottom of the net trapping the fish? :-)
