Fixing The Sparkfun Pro Micro Design Defect

If I am building a project that requires computer control, my first inclination is to reach for a Sparkfun Pro Micro 5V, 16 MHz system on a board. The problem comes in when I have other circuits connected to the input power node. That is when the design defect produces unintended behaviors. Here is a way to correct this design defect without the use of surface mount tools.
