    No not really, repairing stuff is just a chore. I quite like woodwork, especially pattern making, I used to cast crankcases and other engine parts in the back yard,but I don't do that now. These days I hack them out of the solid.

    Sometimes I use a push stick, but they can slip, whereas with my hand resting on the table it gives support and limits potential slippage. We all have our own ideas on what is safe and all I can say is that after 74 years I still have a complete complement of full length digits, albeit some are bent but that is due to Arthur Itis.
