    Fixing a table saw.

A couple of days back I was doing some carpentry, the missus wanted new doors on bedroom cupboards. I have a hobby sized table saw that I was using pretty much continuously for close to a couple of hours and it stopped before I had finished the job. Firstly I thought that it was the motor thermal cutout, so I gave it time to cool. Horrible noises and sparks emanated from the case when I attempted to restart and the contactor would throw out immediately.

The process of fixing it is described in this video

BTW. The new saw takes a 190 mm blade whereas the original was 250 mm but the new one protrudes more and so it is capable of a deeper cut.
