So there actually is a real-world use for football cleats after all

Something similar is used where folks have to walk on ice, and it's a regular and persistent thing, too. I've wanted them a few times in my life, but then you have to stop and take them off when you go indoors, and it gets to be a PITA. Though perhaps not so much as falling can be.
