This 1951 Ford COE truck, built by fordCOE on Ford-Trucks.com, was purchased in Michigan, and shipped out for restoration to Finland. Gasoline cost is prohibitively expensive in Finland, so the builder decided to use a 3.3TD Mitsubishi diesel engine from a similarly-sized truck.

The COE received new engine and transmission, front and rear axles, and suspension and brakes. Other upgrades include plenty of custom chassis fabrication work, a gear storage box made from a gas tank, and tires converted to whitewalls with white rubber mat.

The web is worldwide, but DIY forums are a small world. Partway through the discussion, a guy jumps in to say that he lives 10 minutes away from where the truck was purchased, and had seen it in person.
