can someone explain why my small propane foundry takes like 2 hours to melt aluminum i have a jet propane torch that i made from make it extreme thanks

Curious if the aluminum could be an alloy of some sort with a higher melting point? Have you insulated the forge to retain heat? Is the frame a good blue? Yellow or orange indicate poor burn, wrong air fuel ratio. Hope this may help, saw that your post was rather lonesome w o any replies.
