That tread design will only work on very smooth hard surfaces IE sealed concrete tile or metal on asphalt the tires will both wear down quickly and tear up the paving surface on packed earth they dig ruts and bury themselves the same goes for gravel. Also the floors have to be kept spotlessly clean otherwise grit can become embedded in the rubber which will abrade the floor coating.
A novel idea though but limited in where it can be employed
