Getting my Russian shop set up

I'm just checking in to say we're alive and healthy. Due to current events we're on an extended trip away from home and the shop. We hope to be back soon.

We'll bet not one travel poster or real estate office made tiniest mention of potential for certain kinds of events.

Well, when we moved in we knew we were near where the west backed guys were trying to exterminate the local population. We even helped some escaped people with clothes, medicine, etc.

We just didn't expect our governor to take such a dislike for Americans. A case where going on an extended vacation is prudent.

Well, mostly healthy. Hurt my knee* and using a cane for a while. Mr dr emailed a prescription so at least I don't wake the neighbors with my screaming.

She will have me in for a full exam when I get home. Hopefully nothing too major.

I guess I now have to learn the skill of waving my cane at the young whipper-snappers on the lawn.

* A decades old injury that hadn't bothered me since dirt was young I hurt it now getting in and out of the bed/couch in this apartment. I have to climb over the almost padded arms of the couch to get to my side. Kneeling on the hard arms did it.

I guess I could say it's a bedroom injury.

I really look forward to getting home...
