I saved close up of the jaw adjustment, certain the potential diameter range makes decent flat seating problematic. Looks to be a fairly up to date shop, not a production facility but jobber; right behind the roustabout is a early 1900 Milwaukee horizontal mill. Definite proof, maintenance is what makes 'old iron' live on.
I'm sure the collective early manufacturers look down and smile.
