    I can see firewood being cut quicker this way. By splitting it into rails and then cut to length. Cutting would take longer but save way more than splitting chunks. Or this is perfect if you need fence rails.

    split posts are quite common in certain farm districts - a tool like that could be useful in that environment, but in the demo they were splitting forks as well, so ....

    Many processers cn only handle smaller logs, this would solve that issue.
