Yes. If it is actually a cam operated vise. You adjust clamping size [screw] on like sized material, to where jaw isn't contacting to switch workpieces. Cams usually impart .020-.030 movement, sometimes more.

One variation has a serrated nut. The moving jaw bolts on.

Funny, I just stumbled on this post from a google search. I have one of that exact vise made by Hartford Special Machine Co.
I occasionally use it on my milling machine.
