    That fork is yet another simple and elegant tool! Seems like something that I could make. Gotta think about it. I don't work in leather so the skiver doesn't excite me as much.

    The next day:
    I don't need to make holes, just get the stitch straight and even. I first marked a straight line with a sharp pencil. Then I took a disposable plastic fork and dipped the tines in an ink pad. Push the tines onto the pencil line and it is all marked out. To mark more points, just align the last dot of ink with the first tine of the fork.

    You can see that my spacing is good but I'm not staying on the line. I think I'm jumping above and below a cross-thread. I should be using my Optovisor plus need to develop more skill.
