    Greetings from a UK-based maker

I'm pleased to join your forum. I enjoy designing and making tools of various sorts: mostly planes but I have also experimented with other tools, including saws and devices for making wooden threads.

Hi rxh - welcome to HomemadeTools.net

The devices for making wooden threads sound interesting; post some pics if you have them

    Thanks Ken,
I was flattered to discover that someone has posted photos of some of my efforts in the Hand Planes section

I am currently making a reproduction of a Saxon plane dating from about A.D. 600 that was found buried at Sarre, Kent, SE England in 1863.

If those entries were improperly attributed, just send me the links (via PM is fine) and I'll get it sorted.

That Saxon plane sounds like a great project. Photos required, naturally!

The photos were attributed to me so that is fine.

    Here are a couple of shots of the Sarre plane replica.Greetings from a UK-based maker-img_2916a.jpgGreetings from a UK-based maker-img_2917a.jpg
