    Hand Tap Holder.

    Made from CRS / 12 L 14 with a drill chuck.one thing good about this tool is the chuck allows the shaft to slip a little bit less chance of breaking the tap.

    Good idea on using a chuck. Didn't occur to me that a bit of slippage would help save a tap.

    Interesting idea. I've experienced this before in my DP. Drill bits slipping in chucks when I applied too much pressure on the workpiece. Never realized that this could be used to save taps.
