I am SOOO impressed!!! ..... At MYSELF!! I remembered every word to that Banana Boat Song! Every nuance, every switch in the lyrics, I wish I could remember stuff which I consider important from "back in the day" like I remember songs, the lyrics, and the singers!

I don't remember things that happened a month ago! But you ask me to sing "Seven Bridges Road" or "Sittin' on the dock o' the Bay" or even the theme songs from the Mickey Mouse Club or the Howdy Doody show and I am THERE with all the names and lyrics, even Clarabelle's "honk, honk"!!

And they say that old folks are flaky in the brain? Heck, we simply have a bit of discrimination as to WHAT we CHOOSE to remember, that's all........

I'd like to try that as I have a few bunches of dwarf cavendish approaching harvesting in my top orchard. Temperature & wind play a big part in growing bananas. These dont get the frosts and strong winds that serrate the leaves due to the mango trees etc whereas 100 metres away, my experimental plants (in my other orchard) haven't fruited in over 2 years despite better care that I give them. I grew up with banana plantations & appreciate the effort farmers put into their crops.
