I can't help but wonder if a spiral shaped pie section couldn't be cut out in 1 piece, then preserved in some of the tree's natural sap until harvesting season is over then grafted back in place to aid in healing the wound caused by the harvesting.
Never try to tell me it can't be done
When I have to paint I use KBS products
