It didn't look like anyone was too shook up about it. Even the guy on the bow appeared to be calmly walking away Probably his boat and he was thinking WOW the insurance and law suits will get me one of those big boats
Never try to tell me it can't be done

How the hell does that even happen? I mean, you've got a WHOLE OCEAN to miss each other.

Mid Ocean collisions happen at a higher frequency than you might imagine and not always in rough seas of stormy conditions

Even the US Navy, which are professional mariners, have had many at sea collisions...

99% (if not all) of collisions with moving or stationary objects stems from "failure to maintain a forward lookout.".
With the film, party at fault is clear, for not giving way, making a decisive turn to starboard, and or backing down.
Vessels of similar size have to observe Rules Of The Road, larger or deepdraft vessels always have right of way.
In this case, boat on right has right of way. Web answers lean towards interpretations by opportunistic lawyers. Coast Guard would disagree.
    Sincerely,

You can't dispute right of way from the bottom of the sea.

I'm surprised there aren't more collisions on San Francisco Bay. The only qualification to pilot (drive) a boat is the money to buy the boat.
