Nice job. I could be wrong, but some of that angle steel you were welding appeared to be galvanized or plated with something. You do need to be careful with that. Also the dust from those bricks is not good in your lungs.

Did you assemble the controller from parts. I do have an old ceramic kiln I have been wanting to rework into a heat treat oven for quite a while.
