I helped with (watched) an operation where the technician packed a shaft with dry ice packs then torched the bearing to get it to fit. He had a bearing holder that allowed him to align then very quickly slam the bearing onto the shaft. The old bearing came off in several pieces with a lot of sparks!

I use this same trick for cooking hot dogs. It keeps them from getting overcooked and gross.

How long do you set the timer on microwave or do you cook by temperature?

The water in the paper towels makes this less sensitive to getting the time exactly right. The part can't heat up much beyond the boiling point of water until the water has boiled out of the paper towels.

For frozen hot dogs I use two soaked paper towels wrapped around it and 60 seconds. I don't have any idea how long you cook a bearing though.
