Oh dear, what have I started here? And me an MTF probationer!!!

Agree totally with mklotz. Can be quite interesting when watching non-English stuff with subtitles - speaker speaks for ages but the subtitles are just a few words.

To get away from language and back to engineering.

One digital caliper mounted on the lathe to read laterally on the cross slide and a second one nearly mounted for lengthwise readings on the tool slide. Not 100% happy with the engineering but may take some pictures and string a few words together and publish it on MTF - it may help someone. I'm not using digital calipers as a penny pinching exercise but it's just a small lathe and there's no room for a pucker DRO.
