Looking for ways to build bee hives on the cheap and easy

Bee hives, that sounds interesting. Have you already started building one, or are you collecting ideas now?

Have seen some on line, working on a simple version as have limited wood working tools. The bees we purchased and put in used hives we found are going like gangbusters and need more boxes sooner than anticipated. I have also discovered that the 10 frame boxes are just so heavy that I need to go to 8 frame mediums so I can work with them. Will be working on that and medium Nucs for splits in the spring.

Thanks for the welcome, I think everyone who is able, should try to have a few bees. Have wanted some for years, finally got some!
