    Ruwak's Tools

    Hello from The Philippines

Greetings from The Philippines. My name is Chris. I have been living in The Philippines nearly 8 years now and was excited when I found this site, Tools here are so expensive, even the Harbor Freight variety cost 3 times their US price after customs and shipping. I know, sounds ridiculous since we are so close to China. Currently, we make a moratar sprayer that we sell to contractors. I uploaded a photo below

We are working on some other tools including a plaster applicator that will crawl up and down walls automagically. My wish list to build for my own use and possible reselling includes an English wheel, shrinker / stretcher, and a bead roller to start.

Hi Chris - welcome to HomemadeTools.net

From my experience, the guys that live where tools are expensive are great at making their own tools. Nice to have you on board

Truthfully, I am not a great fabricator, but I have one that works for me. I just dream the stuff up. The mortar sprayer pictured above and on our website was created with a drill press, 4 inch grinder, and welder. Dimples are made with a plumb bob and a hammer. We currently take the stainless parts to a bender to have them bent, but will have our own bender built soon hopefully. You can check out other other stuff we are doing at our website at ruwak.ph

    Hi Chris,

    Welcome!

Very nicely done site, BTW. What projects are you working on currently?

When you're ready to share some of your own homemade tools, we'd love to see them. Please post them directly in the Homemade Tools subforum. We'll add each one to the database, as well as to your builder page on the site.

Non-tool items should be shared in the Not a Tool, but Homemade subforum.

Thanks for the welcome Ken. The fence is finally complete. The house is almost done, just lacking 2 doors and a toilet. I will post one of my home-made doors to the correct forum. Next up is my 1500 square foot aquaponics greenhouse. The 1750 gallon fishtank is almost done, the greenhouse frame is fabricated and just needs to be put up in place to get that aspect going.

Thanks for the compliments on the website. Building and maintaining websites is my "day job". All of this other stuff is what I do in my spare time.

Hello Ruwak, welcome to the forums. Clever idea on using a plumb bob to make dimples on sheetmetal.
