HOLD DOWN CLAMP FOR DRILL PRESS TABLE

Besides fixing devices previously showed in the post http://www.homemadetools.net/forum/d...ss-table-51244, here I share two more:

By changing the “L” shaped arm of a “universal fence clamp” with a 3/8” bolt (16 TPI), grinded to fit and run into the T-tracks, you get a hold down clamp with which you can securely hold a work piece, against the table.

By drilling some 11/32” holes on the fence, you can use, as intended, the universal fence clamps to hold a work piece, against the fence.

Very clever! I have a pair of fence clamps and never thought to use them. I am building a fence for the drill press now and will adapt them...

    Thanks, richardcrane.
Today, whilst cutting some tenons on the table saw, I found that the hold down clamps of the "Universal jig for table saw" (Craftsman), utilize 3/8" bolts. This way, you can use them, with the same modified bolts, as hold down clamps on the drill press:

Gracias, jotasierra. En efecto, si se tienen varias opciones de fijación se podrá elegir la más cómoda o la más adecuada para cada trabajo en particular. Saludos.
