    @rendoman , I could ask the same question. Why imperial and not metric? Well, a few reasons actually.

    1. I live in sunny South Africa, where we use the metric system.
    2. While my lathe can cut imperial threads, I only have the gearsets for metric, and while I can get imperial gearsets, they are prohibitively expensive.
    3. Ask for anything imperial in SA, and, depending on the age of the person you are asking, you will get either a blank expression, a "Huh?" or a shake of the head.
