Very interesting. Is corrugated tin not available in ireland ? Or is this something cost effective for some reason ? Fascinating no matter what.
If it was made from Tin you could not afford it. Get the terminology right!

It is corrugated "steel", not iron, not tin, it is steel, usually with a yield on at least 350 MPa with a Colourbond (C), Zincanneal (C) or zinc coating.Quote:

when it iron the same thing thick steel sections whether truck frames or a cut up dozer blade it is going to be classed as heavy iron. if the load is magnetic it is called scrap iron no matter what then it is broken down into the categories IE tin, light, heavy or cast.
Car fenders are called tin and I guarantee there is not an ounce of TIN in them.
