    Hi Jon
Not for me I am afraid I am a stepladder man. Looks very unstable and when you have got the item out of the bin how do you lower yourself?, as it looks like both hands are needed to operate each shoe lift. Or is a case of finding the object and then going to find a stepladder to remove from bin? Other than that what a great idea . I am sure with a few more years research it will find a place in industry.

I would like to add I hate heights and will not be rushing down the workshop to make a pair 😆

I have just looked up Nevon Projects and they design projects for students? No wonder graduates we get at work have little if no experience when designing and manufacturing mechanical projects. If this is the sort of resources they are using. Sorry to be a misery but did make me smile.

    Taken from their website:

    How it helps Engineers..
Engineers use our kits to upgrade their knowledge on desired software algorithms, electronics concepts & mechanical concepts to enhance their skills open up career options for a better future.
    How it helps Students..
Our Self learning project kits help students learn practical software, electronics and mechanical development by providing all necessary materials needed to make it themselves with detailed video tutorials and learning documents in one single kit. Apart from this nevonprojects provides free projects ideas and innovative concepts to boost student creativity and enthusiasm towards technology.
    many thanks for posting

I like the principal but they are too high when lowered and way too unstable. house painters use stilts and these would be an improvement if they were refined.

No support s extending to the calves for stability. never rely on the ankles for stability when using some elevation device.
Carpenters, drywallers and painters and even some electricians use stilts but their stilts have leg braces much like the braces that Polio victims and people with severed Achilles tendons had to wear just to be able to walk.
These accordion scissors devices are a pair of broken ankles waiting to happen.
Note they were firmly anchored together and were still wobbly
Never try to tell me it can't be done

I made some similar shoes. I got a lot of inspiration from W.E. Coyote.

    LOL.
I have a few hours of walking on stilts behind me.
I wouldn't be caught dead on these....
