You can adjust the deep of throat. Sorry if I'm not clear your opinion.

Fender rollers are limited in depth, to treat lip of wheel well when they've been cut. They can alter roller angles somewhat.
Used when contours are altered/ enlarged to accept non-stock tire sizes.
