    Smile Homemade Tools members rock.

Just wanted to say hi! I've been lurking about - on and off - for quite a while. And, while I haven't posted anything myself (yet), I've been enjoying the hell out of not only the tools you folks come up with, but the ingenuity expressed in making and using them. From the uncommonly simple - to the amazingly complex. And across such a wide spectrum of of tools, disciplines, and levels of expertise. And your sense of community is awesome as well.
Thanks for letting me sit in.

    Thanks Jon.

I've built a few things over the years - from an electrical / electronic drinking water dispenser, to an 'improved' door bell ringer. The latest, I was looking to make a modification to a cyclonic dust collector (got the parts - just need to take the time).

Me and the wife both suffer from profound hearing loss, so I'm always looking for ways to 'work around' those limitations. But I've gone on oxygen and multiple inhalers, in the past year, for emphysema and COPD (and I quit smoking back in 1989). Which have severely limited both my energies, time, and interests.

But, again - I enjoy the hell out of perusing the many other posts (and living somewhat vicariously). You are, after all, the kind of 'good ol' boys,' who are the salt of the earth. CIAO

(Didn't mean to leave out any of the 'good ol' girls' out there, either.)
