Homemade Vice

I built this simple vice some a couple of years ago, using the screw from a broken g clamp, various pieces of scrap angle iron and some flate bar.

Very nicely done; looks professionally made.

If you ever have to work on the surface of large flat pieces, consider putting some holes in the horizontal surface of those jaws, said holes to accept headed pins that clamp against the edges of the workpiece.

Similar to a jeweler's work holder...
