    re post #1 ; If I've said it once...anyone who considers this 'only a hobby' hasn't realized the nearly unlimited potential of a home shop. It's not the collection of tools, machinery, capital or the latest technology; it is the visual ability to dissect a project and create what is needed with what is at hand.
    And by unlimited, that is not an over statement. Kovanca Polock's demonstration is proof. There are gigantic corporations making these, at low cost, which is true. Their production is faster, but the processes are IDENTICAL.
    Does that sound like a hobby?

    If you think about it many worthwhile inventions throughout the ages began as what could be called a hobby, A lot of these were first thought up by persons tinkering with other things only to later be known in the annals of history as engineers or scientists or some other moniker tagged to their names in the history books
