How come I just now found you?

I've been a tinkerer/builder all my 63 years. From working on cars (when you had to fiddle with ignition points and valve lash) to woodworking to computers, if it is mechanical I love it. Even when working for IBM my favorites were the older machines with lots of moving parts.
One of my favorite phrases is "I've done so much, with so little, for so long, I am now qualified to anything with nothing."
Anyhow... I'm glad I found this community of like-minded tinkerers and fettlers.

    Hi Thom,

    Welcome!

Great quote - you're sure to find lots of similarly-minded folks around here. Don't be shy about jumping in anywhere that takes your interest.

When you're ready to share some of your own homemade tools, we'd love to see them. Please post them directly in the Homemade Tools subforum. We'll add each one to the database, as well as to your builder page on the site.

Non-tool items should be shared in the Not a Tool, but Homemade subforum.
