Phase converter turned out well, but I never got a chance to use it: my Dad needed a way to power a few huge wood shop machines he's got, so I'm stuck with a few VFDs until I can gather parts again to build another one myself. He has said he's seen "slow to start" issues with one of the legs, but I think that may just be due to the motor used (it was a really old Baldor, can't remember the model, that I had to tear down and rebuild after having the armature redone by a friend)
