Nothing wrong with his eyes or the steadiness of his hand. We should be admiring his skill, nice even edged cuts with the gas, nice welds considering his welder is probably primitive and his electrodes very low quality. He is also proud of his work. Donít worry about his lack of safety boots, eye protection, gloves, respirator, hard hat etc, he lives in a country where he has the freedom of choice. Unlike the western world where health and safety is often more about how much they can fine companies for not complying. Those fines then go into paying the wages of those that write the rules.
The scribed lines are common on cooking utensils from the Indian subcontinent. Even flat items such as Tawa/Tavares have them, and they donít hold liquid, so I would assume they are just for decoration.
