2 needful things I really need to find time to do. make a lot of file handles and create a better storage for them
Never try to tell me it can't be done
When I have to paint I use KBS products

Storage of hand files is an often overlooked aspect of taking care of tools.
Anything that will hang or pigeon-hole them will be an improvement. A felt pen mark depicting the profile might be a worthwhile addition.
Although I'd prefer it inclined and open backed to not trap dirt or something too short to retrieve.

Agree on something to identify them and that is where hanging comes in as one can see at a glance the wanted section also doesn't trap dirt and you can hang the file card next to them.

One thing 99% of my files do not have is a permanent handle on them. only a very few will fit the handles I have. One thing I keep telling myself is to make up a boat load of handles for my files someday but that is one of those buried tuits of mine

Golf balls make very useful handles for files, I live just off the 9th hole of a old golf course. i found 35 one morning walking the dog! I have even found them in the woods around my house. There must have been some real duffers!
