This is GREAT! FOR the benifit to OTHERS, I was "fairly sure" the liquid was XYLENE, that, for ME was PROVEN, by simply turning ON Closed Caption !!!

My "timing" to watch this: Major Head ACHE, I turned OFF the Music!

following the VIDEO, I had to "rewind" to see it. I made SCREEN CAPTURES of the major scene changes !!!

the WHITE (PVC) did show the Air Heat GUN & FIRE BRICK !

the Black (¿ polyethylene?) NO heat source Shown BUT LOOK carefully at the bottom of CAN there were Signs of Heat applied.

PlastiDip, I run out of that stuff nearly as often as BEEF STEAK, it does not last long in My House!!!!

It would have been helpful to have the solvent identified specifically as xylene, rather than having to rely on closed captioning. Also, the use of a heat gun with a flammable solvent like xylene is not the best idea: mixed xylenes, as one often gets at a hardware store, have a flash point of ~90-100°F. A safer way to apply heat would be to set the can with the plastic shreds and solvent in a bath of boiling water.

The boiling point of xylene is 130-144 degrees, your bath won't help.

For All the interest in this, I am VERY aware of Product Safety concerns:
I was our Company's CAL OSHA SAFETY officer in the late 1980's, I dealt with M.E.K. & XYLENE on a daily basis, as the "most serious of Chemicals" used by our company, doing Hard Wood Floors.

I gave MONTHLY "continuing education classes" PER >>>CAL OSHA'S<<< stringent requirements, like
"the Proper Method to check" Resperators before use", TO employees that wore them 16-20 Hours a WEEK, but "State Regulations" required *training*.

I had to Update each Employees "MSDS" information on every NEW product used.
Material Data Safety, was my bread & butter, so:

I was EXTREMELY happy to view this U TUBE, and comprehended everything,
Without knowing the Native language, had any been SPOKEN,
what I read on the Bottle, was almost evident of "Xylene" for me!!!

It takes COURAGE to produce a video, for World Viewing, I have SEEN many!
At appropriate times, as Needed, I have COMMENTED on unsafe PRACTICE.
And generally, when I do, there are 5 - 10 other persons stating the same thing!

I sincerely hope this person Continues to post, it is a subject matter most people would not even think of.
