Auto supply stores sell windshield repair kits which are little more than super glue and a means of delivery onto the glass. The problem with most of them are there is no means to pressure inject the glue into the glass. if it is just a surface chip that does not extend all the way threw the outer sheet then they work well enough as a temporary repair.
