    HSS tip engaving burin / chisel

    Hi here is a new kind of chisel (to be used with the hammer) for metal engraving :

    The blade is of the same kind as for the hand tools, made out of a HSS jigsaw blade.


    The tip is turned down to a diameter equal to the width of the blade. Then using the slitting saw on the lathe, I cut the slit for the blade, which is a little thinner than the slitting saw thickness.
    Then I turn a steel sleeve to cover the blade. The blade is inserted after filling the slit with a bit of epoxy paste.
