I like to repair and to a lesser extent, build things

I moved from California in the US to Langley BC Canada.
I am interested in showing off/teaching my skills and learning some new skills.

I think sometimes there is an advantage in not knowing the official way to fix something, because that limits your thinking.
Once I had a tenant with a blocked drain.
The plumber that they hired could not clear it. He suggested opening up a cinderblock wall to get at the pipes.
I used a shop vac to pull all the blocking materials out of the pipes.
I think it is preferable to remove blockage from the pipes instead of always trying to snake it and maybe have a future problem further down the pipe.

I have been making battery packs for many years
    I can solder onto batteries.
I can repair eyeglasses with superglue, thread and paper.
