Yet the are those who claim the Earth was created just as it is 6000 years ago. There is no way that wind and water and fire and ice had anything to do with the current shape of things like the Grand Canyon, etc.

This is the sort of absolute nonsense that arises when you start really believing what your belief system says. Doing so will never work out well. I wonder what will happen in the religious systems that believe mankind is a unique creation when we discover life on other moons or planets.

Hard to say. Back then, the earth was flat and pi was equal to three so time keeping was a very confused process.

About 40-some-odd years ago a friend of mine told me the earth was only 6000 years old. couple years ago, I asked him Ronnie how old did you say the earth is?

6000 was his answer again. We've known each other for over 40 years, and you told me back then the earth was 6000 so wouldn't it be 6040 now "Crickets"
